Welcome to my webpage! Let me begin by giving you my life story. I was born in Oregon to Karl and Carol Dryfhout. We moved to California when I was about a year old. I lived in California for 14 years, 2 years in Kansas, and 2 years in Texas. I graduated from Amarillo High School in Amarillo, Texas, in 1987. I then moved to Springfield, Missouri, and began attending Dordt College that fall. (That's 10 schools and 8 cities.) I met my husband Kevin my freshman year. We were married in July, 1990, and then finished my senior year at Dordt, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education in the spring of 1991. My first teaching position was at Sanborn Christian where I taught 4th grade. I taught for four years at Sanborn, then began teaching 3rd grade at Sheldon Christian. This year marks my 15th year at Sheldon teaching 3rd grade, and I still love it!
Kevin and I live in the country between Sanborn and Sheldon - right between Getting's Strawberries and the Sanborn Gun Club. We have two children: Trevor and Adrianne. Kevin has a 2400-head pig nursery and does field work with a neighboring farmer. I never thought I'd marry a farmer!
I look forward to a new year with 3rd graders. I love being able to serve God in my calling as a teacher. I am thankful for the support of the Christian community, and pray that God blesses this year.
